Curly Boys??

We all have heard about curly girls. The 2a,3a, 4a girls. But what about the boys. Many boys don't know how to care for their hair and they just simply let it grow. Here is a blog post written by a girl with a brother, for boys. The one thing I have noticed over the years is that my younger brother doesn't put much effort into his hair care. He only washes his when it becomes unbearingly itchy. As I began to learn more about my hair I thought my brother everything. Here are some tips for my curly boys;

First things first there are four/five hair types
  • Type I: 2 to 3 inches to form a curl
  • Type II: 1 to 2 inches to form a curl
  • Type III: 0.5 to 1 inch to form a curl
  • Type IV: 0.125 to 0.5 inch to form a curl
  • Type V: up to 0.125 inch to form a curl
An example of someone with type 1 curls is:

Despite his red under-eye bags. This is the perfect example
of type 1 hair. Boys with this hair type need to wash their
hair more that twice a week because the build-up
of sebum can make the hair look very oily. Just shampoo is needed.

Type 2 curls :
This is the perfect example of type 2 curls. Once again washing is needed weekly for a loser curled hair. You may want to wash your hair twice a week. Shampoo and conditioner may be needed.

Type 3 curls:

This is an example of type 3 curls. Washing may be a little more difficult for type 3 curls. Shampoo and conditioner is needed, Washing is only needed once a week. Hair may become frizzy and dull. Pure Aloe Vera gel can be used to produce a great curl pattern and remove frizz,

Type 4 curls:
Type four curls is perfectly shown in Will Smiths hair. Washing is only needed once a week and styling products may be needed to show the curl pattern. Staying away from parabens and petrolatum is best for type four hair.
