The Benefits of Aloe Vera

Aloe Vera has been used in herbal medicine since the early first century A.D., and aloe vera extracts are widely used in the cosmetic and alternative medicine industries, marketed as having rejuvenating, healing, and soothing properties.  Whether it’s the juice or the gel, which is slightly thicker .
Aloe Vera has many great ingredients but the active ingredients only make up about two percent. Aloe Vera is made up of my different ingredients such as;

  • Amino acids: Strengthen the hair and give it luster
  • Enzymes: Break down dead skin cells on the scalp that might be blocking the hair follicle and not allowing nutrients to properly penetrate the hair
  • Fatty Acids: Strengthens hair and treats itchy scalp
  • Lignin: Increases the penetrative effect of other compounds into the scalp
  • Polysaccharides: (sugar): Transports moisture to the hair
  • Protein: Strengthen the hair
  • Saponins: Add body and sheen, and make hair feel thicker, silky and smooth
  • Vitamins and Minerals: Beneficial for general hair and scalp health
Aloe vera also acts as a humectant, meaning that it attracts and retains moisture from the air via absorption. Part two will be coming soon.
